Walnut Meadows RV Park - Berea, KY
Compared to what is on their web site there is a big difference. Walnut Meadows RV Park is OK for an overnight stay but the pool looks like it has been empty for a long, long time.
The gravel roads and sites are OK… at least they are pretty level in a big rig. Apparently Passprot […]
Outpost RV Campground - Salt Lick, KY
Holy crap, steer clear of this place. It’s a great example of genetics gone wild. We only used it as an overnight but we saw a lot of crap. The best part was the $20 fee for 3-way hook-up.
When we arrived, the place was a traffic jam of young children racing around in golf […]
Mammoth Cave Campground - Mammoth Cave, KY
You must remember you’re reading my stuff. No reservations, no planning, just go.
We thought about campgrounds near Mammoth Cave. The KOA sits on a small hill on the highway, the Coast to Coast RV Resort is probably good, but non-members can’t use the ammenities. We looked at the National Park Campground. Check-in was a bit […]
Beech Bend Campground - Bowling Green, KY
Where do I start? How about the numerous 4-wheelers without mufflers running around with no posted speed limit at midnight? How about the numerous 4-wheelers without mufflers running around with no posted speed limit at 7:00 AM? Not enough for you?
Diamond Caverns Resort - Park City, KY
Diamond Caverns Resort is a relatively small campground located about seven miles from world famous Mammoth Caves and Diamond Caverns. It’s close to I-65 (about a mile).
The park is clean and well maintained. Sites are level and comfortably large. There are some sites in moderate shade, but most are open and sunny. There are shower […]
Kentucky Horse Park Campground - Lexington, KY
If you admire horses then you are going to absolutely LOVE the Kentucky Horse Park Campground located in Lexington. I just finished a two week horse show there with my eleven year old daughter, who is a show jumper, and it was delightful!
Renfro Valley KOA - Renfro Valley, KY
Renfro Valley KOA is a hillside campground that was just great. There was plenty of shade, and lots of things for the kids to do. The wi-fi worked great. They have sparkling clean bathrooms and a great staff. We recommend this campground and definitely will be back.
Jellystone Park Camp Resort - Cave City, KY
This was the most overpriced RV Park we have ever stayed at. The sites had gravel RV pads that were horribly un-level. The landscape was dismal, and there was almost no shade. I noticed a dozen or more trees throughout the park with no leaves on them, and we were there in Mid July. The utilities […]
Lake Barkley RV Resort - Eddyville, KY
Lake Barkley RV Resort is an excellent park! I highly recommend it and will return. It is recently under new ownership and the new owners are very friendly and are planning to make changes to make this more of a family oriented resort.
Indian Point RV Park - Eddyville, KY
My family LOVED Indian Point RV Park. Being a family owned and operated park, the owners were understandably busy and could not personally escort us to our site, but they made every effort to help us with any questions. The campground was well maintained, the facilities were checked frequently, the amenities were just as described, […]
