(rate this campground) Loading ...Hide-A-Way Lakes is a fairly large campground in Yorkville, Illinois. There was a pretty fishing lake, but you could hardly see it for all the rusted-out, junky seasonal campers lined up along the banks. The pull-through camping area we were directed to was basically a field, and we had no fire pit. I could go on, but suffice it to say it was a disappointment.

O’Connell’s Jellystone Park - Amboy, IL
(rate this campground) Loading ...This campground is the best! It is located in Amboy, IL, about 2-1/2 hours west of Chicago. They have an abundance of sites with electric, water and sewer. The sites are very large (twice as large as some other campgrounds we have been to). They are very kid friendly so if you have younger children, this is the place to be. There are 3 pools, jacuzzi’s and two water slides.
