Georgia
McKinney Campground - Acworth, GA
This campground is absolutely wonderful! The property is clean and beautiful. The location is convenient, off I-75 in Georgia, North of Atlanta. I was pleasantly surprised to see the deer. All sites have water and 30 or 50 amp electric. Bathrooms are clean. Many sites for larger motorhomes. Several pull-throughs.
The variety […]
Watsadler Corps of Engineers Park - Watsadler, GA
Watsadler is one of several Corps of Engineers camping areas surrounding Lake Hartwell, one of the largest COE projects east of the Mississippi River. The campground has 51 campsites, of which 49 are lakefront sites like the one we had during June, 2008.
All campsites have water and electricity (50 amp), and there is a nice […]
Atlanta South RV Resort - McDonough, GA
Camper’s beware. This campground may look great on the website, which is the way I found it, but it is far from what it appears.
I should have known something was wrong from the moment I signed in Sunday June 8th, when Georgia Power was working on the power “problems”. After finding a site that was not […]
Creekwood Resort - Helen, GA
Creekwood Resort is the place to go if you are looking for a quite, clean, friendly place to park your RV when visiting Helen, GA and surrounding areas of the North Georgia Mountains. The campground is not big, only 18 RV sites and three cabins, but sometimes you just want that small, intimate, family friendly […]
Bellaire Woods Campground - Savannah, Ga
What a nice place to stay when traveling the I-95! Bellaire Woods Campground is very neat, clean, and quiet. Friendly operators too! We were escorted to our site after we checked in. There is plenty of room for big rigs with slides if you call in advance.
The campground is located on GA Route […]
Savannah South KOA - Richmond Hill, GA
The Savannah South KOA is a good overnight stop with easy access to I-95 but just far enough away from the highway for some peace and quiet.
This is a very pretty property! There are lots of tall trees and shaded pull-thru sites. They have a real nice 35 acre fishing lake with lots of waterfowl.
Lake Harmony RV Park - Townsend, GA
Lake Harmony RV Park is another excellent overnight stop on your way down I-95. The property has easy access on/off exit 58, yet it’s nice and quiet at night considering the proximity to the Interstate.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The campground and it’s facilities are clean and well maintained. Most of the sites […]
Country Oaks Campground - Kingsland, GA
Great campground for an overnight stay on our way to Disney. Clean, safe, well maintained park that appears to cater to snowbirds just passing thru. Quick, easy access right off Interstate 95, exit 1. Paved roads and large pull-thru sites throughout the park.
The campground has a nice general store surrounded by a 1500sf porch with swings & rocking chairs. Perfect after a hectic day on I-95.
Savannah South KOA - Richmond Hill, GA
I had the pleasure of meeting some of the new staff at Savannah South KOA and they were a sheer delight. Enthusiastic and friendly and extremely willing to help. I heard some poor things from people who had been there in the past, but they recently went under new ownership and apparently things have REALLY turned around!
Talona Creek Camprground - Talking Rock, GA
Here are our experiences when we stayed at Talona Creek Campground: The camp store was not open a single time, and we were there for a whole week. The only two bathrooms in the entire park were out of order at the same time, for most of the week end. The drainage in the park was inadequate and flooded our site during a short rain shower.
