Indian Pass Campground - Indian Pass, FL
We are frequent campers and have camped all over Alabama, Georgia, and Florida and this is the worst experience we have ever had. The Indian Pass Campground website makes it look pretty good and for $30 a night (pretty high in the southeast) we figured it would be well worth the money.
Everglades Holiday Park - Fort Lauderdale, FL
I recommend that you avoid Everglades Holiday RV Park. The campground is extremely remote at Griffin Road and Hwy 27. In my opinion, the people who manage this park for the Broward County Parks & Recreation Department are doing a poor job.
This is the most filthy rv park that I have ever seen. The landscaping […]
Camp’n Aire RV Resort - Lake Wales, FL
We stayed at Camp’n Aire years ago and vowed not to return, not because of the residents but because of the grounds, management, the poor electric, the old clubhouse and the pool had leaked for years. That’s where the old ends and the new begins…
About 4 years ago, new owners bought the campground which is […]
Williston Crossing RV Resort - Williston, FL
This is a relatively new park in Williston Florida. The idea of the park is great. The execution on the idea is no so great. First, the owner who is a contractor from Georgia seems to have no idea what he is doing. Like some contractors, it looks like he starts a job or a […]
Fiesta Key KOA - Long Key, FL
Fiesta Key KOA is located at MM 70 and long-rumored to be sold for condo development. We returned here for one night on the way home from Key West (we stayed here for a week last year before Christmas), and while scenic, this is a campground whose transitional status makes it an unpleasant place to camp, with some caveats.
They’re not booking or people aren’t coming, so there’s a lot of open sites and open space now. Plus the camp store has closed and moved to the smaller marina store, where 50 percent off clearance sales make some items very affordable.
Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA - Sugarloaf Key, FL
Located at MM 20, The Sugarloaf Key KOA has a lot to offer, with a few caveats. It’s filled up since we got here about nine days before XMas when it was wide-open, which was nice given the exceedingly narrow site we rented (at 110 a night, plus 6 bucks a day extra for wireless access) right on the beach. But being on the beach has been great, with some really nice neighbors.
A nice clean beach, volleyball set-up, lots of lounges available, plus our site backs literally right up to the beach. The staff puts everyone in at a different angle, so you open your door looking right at the door of your neighbor… don’t know why. The utilities are easily accesible, though, so if you don’t mind close or think the beach access is worth it, take advantage and spend the extra thirty bucks and go beachside.
Williston Crossings RV Resort - Williston, FL
We were among the first arrivals at Williston Crossings RV Resort in October 2005 and plan to be here for all future stays in Florida.
We found the owners, Bill & Denise Martin, to be very very friendly and outgoing. They told us all about the park in its current state and of their plans on […]
Williston Crossings RV Resort - Williston, FL
Williston Crossings is an excellent RV Resort with a wonderful Staff. We keep going back to see what has been completed. We have been workampers for about 12 years now and have been full time RV folks for 14 years and we have been to RV parks all over this beautiful country and Williston Crossings […]
Williston Crossings RV Resort - Williston, FL
We have been staying a this great RV Resort for the past few months. Williston Crossings RV resort is a brand new park opened only about one year and offers many things for the RV’er. The property is well maintained with beautiful landscaping throughout. The streets are well lit too. A new Clubhouse will be […]
Boyd’s Key West Campground - Key West, FL
The only thing Boyd’s Campground has going for it is that it’s the closest campground to Key West. The neighborhood heading into Boyds’ appears to be a dirty, drug infested area. The interior roads are unfinished gravel. Most of the camp sites were overgrown and the entire campground appeared not very well maintained.
