We weekend camped at Salem Farms Campground for two years. The owners are great people. They work very hard for their campers.

The park is clean and well maintained and the bathrooms are awesome. Each site is approximately 40 x 50 ft., and a minimum of approximately 2000sq ft. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Also each site includes free cable tv and wi-fi. They have new playgrounds and a new snack bar and ice cream stand. Wow!

The campground is a short drive from lots of attractions including Mohegan Sun and Foxwood’s Casinos, Tantaquideon Indian Museum, Mystic Seaport, and the Mystic Marinelife Aquarium

Salem Farms Campground is truly a family park. Family owned and operated.

We found Stateline Campresort to be one of the best campgrounds in New England! The park is slightly older but you can clearly see that sites are being updated and revamped. There are new sites with new electric, new picnic tables and new fire rings.

The staff and fellow campers are what made our experience so great. There was an activities person at the door when we arrived who offered us coffee and donuts (for FREE!). She gave us an activities schedule and personally made us aware of everything that was going on over the weekend. The staff was friendly and fun. This is the place to bring your children and just kick back! The pool is new, huge and so CLEAN!

We were hoping for a great time and are thankful that Stateline and it’s staff gave us one! Jack

Salem Farms Campground is set in a beautiful rural area. It is family owned and operated. There are numerous activities planned throughout the day to keep the kids busy. My husband and I stayed there several years ago and recently bought a Park Home to spend our summers at Salem Farm Campground.

The family is very involved on a daily basis and always available for help or to make your stay the best that it can be. Our seven year old grandson absolutely loves it. Between playing baseball, swimming in one of two pools, hayrides, arts and crafts, basketball, volleyball and candy bingo, we never see him except for mealtimes.

We highly recommend that you don’t let another season go by without staying at this well run campground. You won’t be disappointed!

We rented a park model unit at Strawberry Park Resort Campground. The unit was roomy, very clean, with full size appliances, full size shower and toilet. The unit was in a nice location, with a deck and picnic table.

Our stay was fun filled, and there was always something to do for the whole family. The public rest rooms were the cleanest rest rooms in any camp ground I have ever stayed at! Bravo to the cleaning staff.

I camped at Strawberry Park campground in June 2010 in a 40ft 5th wheel. I made my reservations and told them that I travel with a dog. I was told “no problem” as long as she wasn’t a vicious breed.

When I arrived, I checked in and was assigned a campsite. When I am backing in I see a sign that says “NO DOG WALKING”. I called the office after we are set up to inquire… I was told that I have to drive 1/2 mile outside of the park to let my dog pee. I was also told that I was told this before my reservation was taken. No… I was never told this or I would have gone elsewhere.

There are plenty of campgrounds in this area. I recommend that you go someplace else if you have a pet.  I will never come back here again.

Formerly Highland Orchards, the New Mystic KOA is conveniently located just off I-95, exit 92. The facilities are nice and the property and amenities are well maintained. The owners are friendly and accommodating.

The interior roads are unpaved and the sites are gravel. The campground has two Swimming Pools (May 18 – September 16), a well-stocked camp store, a 9 hole mini golf, a fishing pond, a jumping pillow, bike rentals, an outdoor cinema, and hay wagon rides. They have free wi-fi too!

Most sites are drive-thrus. Sites are a little small and close together. Some of the grassy sites are located near the highway and you can hear traffic noise. The location is great though, close to Rhode Island and Connecticut beaches, Mystic Seaport and Foxwoods Casino.

Wilderness Lake is a nice campground if you are looking for peace and quite. The resort is set on over 100 acres of countryside with a fresh-water lake for swimming, boating, and fishing; mini-golf, trails for hiking and biking, volley ball court, horse-shoe pits, a tribal village, game rooms, playground, a lodge with home-theater entertainment, and a new basket ball court!

Wilderness Lake has RV and Tent sites that are on the water, rustic, open, or wooded. They also offer On-site park model rentals. Rates are about $45 for RV sites

They do not have any planned activities on non-holiday weekends. The Playground is newer but kids were bored with it quickly. They have no sewer hookups, but they do have a dumping station. Electric and rusty water hookups available.

There is a free to use canoe and paddleboat available. A lot of tents camping on the weekend we were there. I would reccommend this camp site if you were looking to get away from it all. One more thing… they do not take any kind of plastic! That means no Credit Cards or Debit Cards, so bring some cash.

Aces High is a very nice campground. Sites are open and level and they have some extra long pull-throughs for big rigs. Interior roads are gravel with excellent turning room for big rigs. Because the roads are gravel, it can get a little dusty.

Facilities were very very clean and the owners very helpful. The grounds are well maintained and very attractive, and surrounded by scenic lakes and hills. Aces High is a little on the expensive side. Nonetheless it’s a very comfortable campground to stay at and a great basecamp to see the area and visit the casinos (bring some extra money!).

Brialee is a great little family oriented campground with plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. The campground has full-time recreation directors to coordinate activities and entertainment for adults and children. Activities included ceramics, bingo, live music, sports, games, challenges, and countryside wagon tours. They also offer basketball, softball, beach volleyball, bocce, boating, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and fishing. They have a very nice 60′ Olympic-sized heated pool and 200′ sandy beach. There’s a huge two story recreation hall with arcade games, bingo, arts & crafts, and a snack bar.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. While there were quite a few seasonal sites, most were exceptionally well taken care of and did not detract from our experience.

The property is level and not difficult to negotiate with larger rigs. They have a good mix of pull-thru, open meadow, wooded and waterfront sites. The campstore has a limited selection of groceries and camping supplies.

Brialee is relatively easy to get to. It’s about 10 miles off I-84, exit 69. Our family camped here this past July and intent to make it one of our first outings next summer.
