The property is in a convenient location just off I-25, exit 174. It can get a little noisy with the Interstate and railroad traffic close by, but its tolerable.

(rate this campground) Loading ...We have camped in our RV in the western US and Mexico for the last 5 years… from Denver to Seattle down the west coast to as far south as Colima in Mexico. Crystal River Resort is one of our favorite places to stay because it has such large RV sites and such a beautiful setting right next to the Crystal River with a beautiful view of Mt. Sopris.

(rate this campground) Loading ...My husband and I have been taking our 3 children RVc amping for over 15 years. We have been to over 50 different campgrounds during that time and have never liked any as well as the Crystal River Resort in Carbondale, Colorado. We have continued to make this our favorite spot and have continued to return every summer. It’s the best campground when it comes to clean bathrooms which is of vital importance when our family picks a place. We love the pool, the sand volleyball, basketball, badmitten etc. and the owners have all the equipment for you to borrow.

(rate this campground) Loading ...Though Crystal River Resort Cabins and Campground is advertised as a family resort (with photos on the website that match the advertising), as daylight approached (we got there late on June 30th) it seemed more of a junk yard and work camp. Along with a large population of what seems to be migrant workers in RV type trailers, there are many hazards abound ? old automobile engines, 5 gallon containers of corrosive, poisonous chemicals (clearly marked as such), buckets and drain pans of used oil laying about, and overgrowth blocking views of many of the ?riverfront? sites.

Mountaindale Campground & Cabins - Colorado Springs, CO

Being out of town, it is quiet & gorgeous. The deer come right between the RVs. The cottontail bunnies hop around your back door.
