This is a beautiful RV park out in the middle of nowhere! I stopped here because the RV parks in Sacramento and Stockton did not give me a “warm fuzzy” feeling so I kept on going and ended up here. The good news is… the RV park is just a short walk (3 tenths of […]

Friendly RV Park is a very cute little campground located near Weed, California. Although it’s a “just the basics” kind of park, they do have laundry facilities and WiFi. The cable is fairly decent, a little over 50 channels.

I’d like to let everyone that have been to Cotillion Gardens RV Park and had a bad experience, that it is under new management and is back to being a great place to spend a weekend or a whole vacation. The staff they have now is "kid friendly". I just sat back and enjoyed seeing everyone have such a great time.

Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA - La Selva Beach, CA

This KOA campground is not far from Santa Cruz and a much cheaper alternative than staying in an area motel. We used the camping cabins. We love going to the Santa Cruz Board Walk, and did not want to take our trailer in the Bay Area traffic, so all we needed were sleeping bags. It is not far from Monterey too.

Eureka KOA - Eureka, CA

This is an outdated KOA. The sites were cramped and uneven and the grass was totally dead. They drive a noisy tractor towing a hay ride late at night. The interior roads were in poor shape. The price seems to be very expensive for what you get. We only got 10 cable channels. The advertisements once again on the KOA publication is nothing like what the park really is.

We recently stayed 9 days at Valencia Travel Village in Valencia, California. The park is OK and we have stayed here before. However, there seems to be many more monthly renters than before with all their “stuff” scattered around their rigs.
I signed up for a week of Wi-Fi service for $16.00. The provider was […]

We have been RVing for years and have never had a more horrible experience than we had here at Silver Lake Resort. The staff was rude. We came in late 10:15 PM, I had called ahead to see if that was a problem and had been told no. The man that came to talk to my husband asked "if we could read" the sign. While we both can read, his approach could have been better. They told us to get out of there we were waking everyone up. We slept in a overflow lot that night.

Actually, San Francisco RV Resort is located in Pacifica, just off highway 1 and about 15 miles south of San Francisco. This is a super park. It’s well kept and has a great staff. Best of all, it,s located right on the ocean. They offer full hookups, wi-fi (for a fee) and cable TV. The campsites are paved but just a little narrow if you have a slide out.

Monterey Fairgrounds - Monterey, CA

This is a quiet, cheap, and secure area inside the county fairgrounds property. They offer full hook-ups and wi-fi. This is the closest place to Carmel and Monterey attractions. Campsites are blacktop and most are sloped slightly so you need levelers. There are no frills here but this location makes a good base for sightseeing the area.

Anaheim Harbor is a small but decent RV park about 1/2 mile north of Disneyland. The shuttles or city bus stops right in front. There is also a nice family restaurant right next door.
About 1/2 of park camp sites appear to be long term types. All the sites are blacktop. Wi-Fi is extra. No propane […]
