The staff and maintenance man were extremely helpful and friendly. The amenities were nice. The laundry rooms and restrooms were always clean. The cable and WI-FI worked great too. I will stay here again.

The folks hosting the campground are pleasant and fun to chat with. Now you don`t have to feed quarters into the shower for hot water!  They are free. They have a dog friendly beach so please remember to clean up after your pooch.

I highly recommend this campground for it`s beauty, convenience and excellent customer service. I camped here in a 22 ft. RV.

The trout fishing is great right in the park, with lots of people catching their dinner just a few feet from their RVs. We took a short hike on the trails behind the park, right up onto the Pacific Crest Trail, and found a great viewpoint overlooking Mount Lassen in nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park.

The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. There are lots of cabins too, which looked really cozy, along with RV sites with their own horse stalls so that people can bring their horses along to ride on the trails. It was nice to find a forested campground that had lots of really big sites, with plenty of room for our large RV.

Everything was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well, and we had a great meal in the cafe too. It’s pretty remote here, so having a place to eat, along with a large convenience / camp store was handy. Great place for a peaceful getaway.

The RV Resort has a continual Five Star rating from Woodall’s and high ratings from Trailer Life. The property has 237 spaces with full hook-ups. In addition, each site is attractively bordered with well maintained landscaping to provide privacy. Around the grounds you will find plants from North America, India, The Canary Islands, China, New Zealand, and South Africa, all part of the Mediterranean.

The campground is nestled on beautiful San Diego Bay, surrounded by landscaped parks and adjacent to its own 552 slip marina. Some of the other amenities include a general store with ladies boutique, a picnic area with barbecues, a beautiful swimming pool and spa, laundry facilities, full restrooms, club rooms and 2 full-service restaurants… “Galley at the Marina” and “South Bay Fish and Grill”.

We paid $55.50 for a “Perimeter Site” which is their least expensive. Their “Premium Sites” are $71.50. It’s a little on the expensive side, but this is a beautiful RV park in a great location. We plan on returning next summer!

There aren’t a whole lot of activities for the younger set to participate in. If you pull a trailer or tent camp, it’s a nice drive to Julian for pie and antiquing.

This campground has a number of swimming pools and naturally heated mineral spas, playground, clubhouses that offer billiards, free videos, a children’s playroom. Sky Valley Resort offers tennis, golf, and a host of other activities are right in the backyard and so many exciting places to visit nearby.

Daily lists of activities, golf, tours, seminars, special events, trips to Hollywood game shows, group activities and more are part of the options here.

Special activities, like dinner shows and luaus, may have a charge. The talent they book at Sky Valley perform in Hollywood, Las Vegas and nationwide. You will see some great shows!

The sites are wide enough, although a bit tight to get in. But no problem if you can drive. The management couple gave us great advice for our trips to the Wine Country and Sonoma Valley. The park is very well kept and we had a great time.

It is a quiet, clean and safe place to stay and we will be back. It is also a Good Sam park. We camped here in a 36 ft. 5th wheel.

Parking is  at a premium, so let them know if you have a big rig/toad as it could be a problem. If you just need a sleeping place while in the Santa Rosa area, this should be fine.

Get good directions when you make your reservations as it could be hard to find.

There were big trash piles of wood and debris everywhere. The water pressure at our site was terrible. The store was full of outdated and dusty products and two of our neighbors who ate in their small restaurant did not have very good things to say. Worst of all, the owner lets his aggressive dogs roam the park. We will not return to what I consider to be a poorly run and maintained park.

We stayed here in our RV about 6 years ago, when it was named “Ramblin’ Rose RV Resort” and just returned again. The resort is under new management, and it’s obvious that they’ve spent a great deal of time and money on major renovations. The place is fantastic… much nicer than our last time here. Everything is clean and new, including the Wi-Fi and cable TV.

Sites are large, level and secluded, with lots of space, trees, and ferns between us and our neighbors. They have brand new 50-amp full-hook-up sites, with room for any size RV (ours is 43′ long, so that’s important to us). The Redwoods tower overhead, making campsites really feel like part of the forest. There is also a large, open, grassy area in the middle of the resort, making for a nice mix of forested and pastoral environments.

There are also lots of secluded, wooded tent sites, plus modern (and very luxurious) cabins with nice covered decks. Since this is an area we’d love to share with our families, the cabins would be perfect for us to host family without them having to stay on the RV or in a tent. The manager was nice enough to show us inside one.

We will definitely come back to this park any time we visit Northern California’s Redwood Forest.
