Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA - Watsonville, CA
This KOA is an older campground but very well maintained. The park has some beautiful landscaping and many of the sites are wooded. The restrooms and showers are clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
They have a year round heated pool, bike rentals and a nice video game room for the kids. The […]
Tahoe Valley Campground - South Lake Tahoe, CA
Tahoe Valley Campground is a nice park with a wonderful ambiance among the tall trees of this scenic valley. The park is located right in town and close to all the casinos, yet it’s tucked away and back in among trees, so you really feel like you are in the boonies.
The staff was wonderful, very […]
Vail Lake Village & RV Resort - Temecula, CA
Vail Lake Village and Resort is a very nice campground. There’s plenty of things to do for kids including a pool, scooters, bikes, and mini golf. The resort is divided into two different camping areas. The lower section is all dirt with lots of tall oak trees. The upper section is partially shaded with lots […]
Rancho California RV Resort - Aguanga, CA
Outdoor Resorts Rancho RV Resort is very nice park complete with a 15 hole, par 3 golf course. The campground is well landscaped and has a lovely country club setting. There are several pools, a fishing lake, paddle boats, laundromat and a small campstore with a limited number of groceries and camping supplies. Pets are allowed.
Bakersfield RV Resort - Bakersfield, CA
This is a first-class campground with excellent facilities and a staff to match. We stayed here for several days recently on our annual trip north. The park was as neat a a pin and the facilities were squeaky clean. Rates were actually quite low for the level of quality we received.
The property has 24-hour video […]
Kamp Klamath RV Park - Klamath, CA
My name is Anne Hughes and I stayed at Kamp Klamath September 1, 2007. This is the most pathetic excuse for an RV park I’ve ever seen. The web site makes the campground look wonderful and that’s why we booked reservations there… but you’d be hard pressed to find anything there that looks like the web site.
Camp Williams Resort - Azusa, CA
Camp Williams Resort is a wonderful, rustic campground located along the banks of the East Fork of the San Gabriel River. It’s within easy reach of Los Angeles, but it’s very quiet, with spectacular scenery. It’s quite a get-away from the hustle-and-bustle of city life.
Californian RV Resort - Acton, CA
Californian RV Resort was the only decent RV park in the Lancaster/Palmdale area. It’s located off a busy highway. My GPS (Magellan) had trouble with this, just as another reviewer posted. Better yet, it appears that a good majority of the spots are "pull through" with some "back in" around the perimeter.
I had made a reservation, but it wasn’t really necessary, park had plenty of spots available. Since this was off season, they were ok with me arriving a day later than originally scheduled; they let me slice off one night without penalty.
Kit Fox RV Park - Patterson, CA
This is a beautiful RV park out in the middle of nowhere! I stopped here because the RV parks in Sacramento and Stockton did not give me a “warm fuzzy” feeling so I kept on going and ended up here. The good news is… the RV park is just a short walk (3 tenths of […]
Friendly RV Park - Weed, CA
Friendly RV Park is a very cute little campground located near Weed, California. Although it’s a “just the basics” kind of park, they do have laundry facilities and WiFi. The cable is fairly decent, a little over 50 channels.
