We stayed at Rio Verde RV Park for 4 nights in May of 2012 and really enjoyed it.

The folks in the office, Helen and LeAnna, were most gracious and helpful. We were in site 55 by the river. It was private, quiet, and very nice. Thanks for the great stay!

We really love this resort. It’s located about 10 miles north of Show Low near White Mountain Lake. Juniper Ridge consists of 529 privately-owned lots. Whether occupied by a motor home, a fifth-wheel trailer, or a park model with an Arizona room, the RV Resort is home to about 800 residents.

They have a full calendar of activities (parties, dances, games, and special events). Their Grand Lodge is absolutely beautiful and is where they hold many of their events. Amenities include a large pool, a spa, fitness facilities, tennis and pickle ball courts, billiards and table tennis rooms. They also have a crafts building that has a ceramics room, quilting and sewing room, and other rooms for arts and crafts projects. There is also an 18 hole golf course here, although I’m not a golfer so I can’t tell you much about that.

Juniper Ridge is one of those RV resorts where there’s no need to really leave… everything is right there… although there’s some great country to explore in the area.

Cedar Court RV Park is a nice, small quiet campground located in Springerville Arizona.

We camped here in a 5th wheel and had a wonderful stay. They have a laundromat on site and are just off of main street. The campground is within walking distance to McDonald’s, a grocery store, a hardware store and other stores and restaurants. There are also historic buildings within a few blocks including the movie theater.

The campground has wide drives with easy back-ins. This seems like a great four season area and they have apartments and mobile homes for rent. We will be back.

We spend the winters in Arizona and found The Scenic Road RV Park to be the best and friendliest in Quartzsite. Check out the website for all the information. www.thescenicroad.com. The campground has on-site owners. Fresh upgrades have turned the former Desert Sunset park into the New Scenic Road RV Park.

Amenities include 50 amp full hookup sites with concrete patio pads, a clubhouse with full kitchen and a library. There is Wi-Fi access throughout the campground. Overnight, weekly or seasonal campers are welcome.

The other day we decided to check out the RV parks in Camp Verde since we’ve heard a lot of changes have occurred in several of the parks.

Trails End RV Park seems to have undergone the most change since we stayed here a couple of years ago. The campground is a small, basic RV park. It is situated on the main drag (Finney Flats Rd.) into Camp Verde, right across the street from the Dollar General store and next door to the Arizona Highway Maintenance yard. It is a gravel park of about 45 spaces with none of the extras that the other parks in the area offer – pool, hot tub, exercise facility, etc.

There are a couple of spaces available right now, but we’re told that all RV’s currently here are long term residents. When we were here last time, the park was managed by a couple of older gentlemen and they kept it clean and quiet. Now it is managed by an older woman that has a very different idea of how to run this park. Any RV, no matter if it is self-contained or not, what condition it’s in or its age, is allowed in. If you aren’t accepted in any of the other parks for any reason, this place will take you. We noticed that you’re also allowed to wash or work on your RV or vehicles.

We asked the monthly rate and as of this posting it is $305.00 month + $75.00 security deposit, plus electric at .177 kw. Cable TV is extra @ $25.00 per month. There is a dump station in the front of the park by the office at $10.00 and propane is available. Our son-in-law made an observation regarding rules, or should I say the lack of enforcement of the rules. One dog was left unattended off its leash outside one RV in full view of a park employee, several RV’s with lots of clutter tucked under or around them and some with wood decks and steps. Evidently they allow canopy garages on your space as well.

The park speed limit is 5 mph, but doesn’t seem to be observed or enforced as evidenced by a cloud of dust following two vehicles going much faster than 5 mph. After a drive around this park, we realized this park has become the place where rv’s end up if they don’t meet the age and condition standards of most of the others parks in the area. So we decided to go into a park closer towards Cottonwood.

If we had to use one word to describe this park now, it would have to be dysfunctional. It’s sad to see this once quaint RV Park deteriorate into what it has become now. We have removed it from our “Return To” list.

We found Moon River RV Resort through the Good Sam Club.

The campground has big shade trees for the desert (finally some greenery). They do not block your signal, due to the fact they are trimmed regularly. The campground is quiet, clean, comfortable, and pet friendly. They have an awesome staff and managers. It’s a newer park for the area with spacious sites. Our Verizon service worked well and at times, their free wi-fi worked better than our My-fi Internet card. They even have mail service.

The campground is privately owed and well maintained… they have some of the cleanest restroom/showers we’ve ever seen! It’s a great area with many things to do. We kayaked one day and played golf the next, in month of December. We are definitely returning!

This is the second year in a row we have stayed at Camp Verde RV Resort in August and September.

Camp Verde RV Resort is located in the very heart of the Arizona region, where pine forests, broad valleys, and scenic canyons abound. It is bordered by the Verde River, which feeds a lush greenbelt in this land of mountains, desert, and red-rock canyons. The climate is arid, the summer days often cooled by monsoons rains. Winters on the valley floor are mild.

We love this park with plenty of space, a laid back lifestyle and a fabulous swimming pool. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We have a Class A motorhome with a motorbike and plan on staying here at every opportunity. We are from Seattle.

Circle Pines KOA was a very nice park. They are conveniently located right off I-40 exit 167.

The campground is near the Grand Canyon and makes for a good base for touring the Canyon, Sedona and other Northern Arizona attractions! They have large lot sizes, with shady spots and a big camp store. Weekends in the summer are very busy as this campground. This KOA also will arrange tours to the canyon and/or have rental cars. They have tent sites, RV sites and cabins, cottages or lodges.

There is a nice family atmosphere at this park. It’s a bit pricier than most KOA’s, but I would return.

Eagle View RV Resort is a great park! While you may feel let down if you like a place that has ice cream socials, dances, and BBQs, this is the place to be if you want a quiet, secluded, clean park in beautiful surroundings with great wildlife viewing.

The park is set in the desert right on the Verde River and in the local Indian Reservation but still within minutes of Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Mesa. The staff has superb customer service skills and are always smiling. All campsites and roads are paved. The clubhouse, showers, restrooms, laundry facilities, and pool and jacuzzi are clean and well maintained. Kids and pets are both welcome as long as they are well behaved and quiet.

This park may be more expensive than other parks in the Valley but in my opinion, it’s well worth it.
