Garlic Farm RV Park - Gilroy, CA

Loading ...We stayed at the Gilroy Garlic Park for 481 days. Most of the time it has been a very nice place to be. But in the last few months it has been going down hill. It came to a head this week. Just to let you know we are in the park from late Sunday night/early Monday morning till Friday afternoon when we leave to go to our house in Nevada. We have been doing this the whole time.On Friday August 27 we took our RV out of the park so we could renew it?s license in Nevada. On the site we stayed on we left 6 planters, a carpet, a broom, a pooper scooper, a picnic table (belonging to the park) and my truck. When we came back at 2am on Tuesday September 7th we only found my truck. We went to sleep and got up in the morning at 6:30am and I took my shower. When the office opened at 7am I went to complain. They said they would check it out. I went back to the site and my wife and I started to check around. On the site next to ours we found the planters and two sites over the picnic table. I took them back and went to the office to tell them. I told them how upset we were and that either we were leaving or the people that took the stuff was. They said they would check it out. Later in the day they called me and said that they people were new to living in a RV and they didn?t know better. Now I know when I was new to living in a RV that it was wrong to take stuff that didn?t belong to you. They then said we should have taken all our stuff with us. I told him for almost a year and a half we never had anything happen and we figured it was safe and since they knew who did it he should do something about it. We decided to move out of that park since they wanted to blame us for leaving our stuff and not the people that took it. They did tell me I could call the cops but I told him I didn?t think they would come out over that type of stuff plus I didn?t want to waste to cops time.
While it is a nice park I would like to warn everyone about it. Please be careful. I was told by the office they have had other stud disappear and also the manager was attached while trying to chase a guy out of the dumpster.
