Loading ...We would not recomend this campground. Found it online and they boasted of fishing & swimming in the Eel River, of being right on the water and close to the ocean. The place is located on a cliff above the river and the river does not have hardly any water in the summer. We arrived to find a swimming ban because of the algae content, also the space we reserved was too small for our trailer. Very, very, very disapointed in the way the situation was handled by the woman in the office. She originally wanted to refund our money by sending us a check, after we paid with travelers checks, then finally just returnned the travelers checks. The restroom smelled and were dirty. I would strongly recomend driving right by this place.

I\’ve been to this \"resort\" several times, as it is the only one in the area. Our longest stay was 2 months.
There is NO cliff in this area… I have walked into the water on many occassions. Being disabled, that would have been impossible with even a mild slope.
I never found the bathrooms to be messy, either. But I mainly used my own, so I guess there\’s a chance they are sometimes dirty.
But I would have to agree that I did not particularly like the people running it. They know they have the only place in the area, and it shows in their attitudes.
