Oak Plantation Campground - Charleston, SC
Oak Plantation is a very nice campground located in John’s Island, near Charleston, South Carolina. The park was beautifully maintained and almost all of the sites were in the shade. The sites vary in size and privacy… from small and closely spaced to large and private. We had one of the smaller sites and our […]
My Brother’s Place - Houlton, ME
My Brother’s Place is a small campground very near the Canadian border, located just off US Route 1, about 2 miles from I-95, exit 302.
The park is clean and well maintained. The sites are large with plenty of room and most are pull-thrus on grass. The campground has plenty of trees but the sites themselves […]
Bellaire Woods Campground - Savannah, Ga
What a nice place to stay when traveling the I-95! Bellaire Woods Campground is very neat, clean, and quiet. Friendly operators too! We were escorted to our site after we checked in. There is plenty of room for big rigs with slides if you call in advance.
The campground is located on GA Route […]
Sleepy Bear RV Park - Lumberton, NC
If you’re traveling I-95, Sleepy Bear is conveniently located off exit 14, just south of Lumberton, North Carolina. We camped there several weeks ago on our way south to Florida.
The park was clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly. Sites are level, paved and comfortably sized. There seems to be a little road noise […]
Camp Pedro - Dillon, SC
If you travel I-95, you’ve seen the billboards for South of the Border. Located right at the North Carolina/South Carolina state line, South of the Border is a perfect example of the term “tourist trap”.
The complex includes gift shops, restaurants, amusements and stores all under a giant metal sombrero that can be seen miles before […]
Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA - Enfield, NC
This KOA is located about 18 miles south of Roanoke Rapids and 16 miles north of Rocky Mount, about 1/2 west of I-95 exit 154.
The park is clean and well maintained with both shady and sunny sites and level pull throughs in a quiet country setting. This KOA is a great halfway stop on your […]
Savannah South KOA - Richmond Hill, GA
The Savannah South KOA is a good overnight stop with easy access to I-95 but just far enough away from the highway for some peace and quiet.
This is a very pretty property! There are lots of tall trees and shaded pull-thru sites. They have a real nice 35 acre fishing lake with lots of waterfowl.
Whispering Pines Campground - Hope Valley, RI
I would consider Whispering Pines to be a “better than average” campground. It’s conveniently located about 3 miles west of I-95 exit 2, on RI Route 138. We stayed there for a long weekend last fall. The park is fairly large, with about 180 very large, level, spacious sites. Full hook-ups and pull-thrus are available […]
Florence KOA - Florence, SC
We travel up and down I-95 quite a bit between our home in Maine and Florida, and the Florence KOA has been one of those stops along the way.
This is basically an overnight stop for most RVers… there aren’t may long term campers here. While the campground is very convenient for I-95 travelers, there’s a […]
Lake Harmony RV Park - Townsend, GA
Lake Harmony RV Park is another excellent overnight stop on your way down I-95. The property has easy access on/off exit 58, yet it’s nice and quiet at night considering the proximity to the Interstate.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The campground and it’s facilities are clean and well maintained. Most of the sites […]
