Bayley’s Camping Resort - Scarborough, ME
This campground is made for families! Our annual summer trip to Maine often includes camping at Bayley’s Resort.
This RV resort is relatively large, with over 400 sites. You’ll find sites in wooded areas, in fields and near their pond. Depending on what area you’re in, sites can be close together or fairly private. Full hook-up are available and include cable TV. The general store is a fairly good size with a limited selection of groceries and camping supplies.
Hampton Beach State RV Park - Hampton Beach, NH
Hampton Beach State Park RV Campground is a small RV-only park located directly on the Atlantic Ocean on NH Route 1A in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.
The campground itself is nothing special… gravel roads, no trees, no shade, no amenities, but plenty of cool breezes off the ocean. In fact, most campers leave their awnings up… […]
Lone Pine Campsites - Colchester, VT
Lone Pine is conveniently located a few miles north of Burlington in Colchester, Vermont. We were looking for a campground near Burlington and the Lake Champlain Islands area so we could do a little exploring. The last time my wife and I were here was back in our college days so we were eager to reaquaint ourselves with the area.
Front Royal RV Park - Front Royal, VA
A little off the beaten path… We were passing thru the area and decided to get off I-66 and check in for the nite. We had heard that this particular KOA was rather nice.
Got off I66 (exit 6) and traveled south on US Route 340 several miles. About a mile past the Shenandoah National Park entrance was the entrance to Front Royal KOA. We’re here!
King’s Dominion Campground - Doswell, VA
King’s Dominion Campground is located adjacent to Paramount’s King’s Dominion Theme Park and just off I-95 exit 98 in Doswell, Virginia. We stayed here for several days this past summer because it was close to King’s Dominion Theme Park. It was also our base for visiting the Williamsburg, Virginia area and Busch Gardens Theme Park.
Brattleboro North KOA - Brattleboro, VT
We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled into this campground. KOAs in general are well maintained, but this one was a definitely cut above.
The Brattleboro North KOA is “tucked among the hills of the Connecticut River Valley in southeastern Vermont”, right on US Route 5, about 4 miles from I-91, exit 3, in East Dummerston, […]
Littleton-Lisbon KOA - Littleton, NH
After spending the day visiting some of the attractions in New Hampshire’s Franconia Notch we decided to spend the night at one of the area KOAs.
The Littleton-Lisbon KOA is located on US Route 302, about 5 miles south of Littleton and I-93 exit 42. The campground is quite small (about 60 sites) and tucked between […]
Barrington Shores Campground - Barrington, NH
Barrington Shores is located about 3 miles off US Route 4, and about halfway between Concord and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
When we first arrived here, we were a bit disappointed… trash dumpsters, dirt piles and maintenance equipment greeted us at the entrance area. But once we got over that initial disappointment, Barrington Shores grew on us. […]
Lake Champagne Campground - Randolph Center, VT
With New England fall foliage near peak, we decided to spend an October weekend camping in Central Vermont. We’ve always been aware of Lake Champagne Campground as we have passed thru the area many times. This time we decided to give them a try.
The park is conveniently located a short distance from I-89, exit 4 […]
Cold Springs Camp Resort - Weare, NH
We were looking for something relatively close to home for just a night or two so we decided to give Cold Springs Camp Resort a try… and what a pleasant suprise!
Cold Springs is a family-oriented campground located just off NH Route 114, in the town of Weare… about 15 miles west of the city of […]
