Crowley’s Ridge State Park - Paragould, AR
We rented a site "unseen" at Crowley’s Ridge State Park. For reservations, you pay one night - non refundable! When we got there, the fire ring and picnic table were on the opposite side of the RV door. Also, the electric hookup was on one side of the pad with the water hookup on the other side. Regardless, water hose had to run up under the camper and through the sitting area under the canopy. Very Backwards! The swimming Lake (aka big pond) was quite a distance to walk to. (not a 1/2 mile like the Ranger told me over the phone while making reservations.) Also it doesn’t matter if you rent a site or not, you still have to pay to swim in their lake or sunbath on their beach. (In the brochure, nothing is mentioned about paying for their swimming area.) Our family has been to other campgrounds and never had to pay for swimming.
The facility was pretty clean and updated. The sites were very close and weren’t set up very practical. Trees were in the way of putting your canopy out and the pads weren’t very level. This is not a campground we would make a 2 hour drive to again.
