Campground Reviews for November, 2009
East Lake Fish Camp – Kissimmee, FL
They are trying to call themselves an RV resort. It was 90 outside and 15 minutes in the pool and you were shivering. I asked the management when they started heating the pool… pool is not heated. It is close to Disney – 15 miles but it takes 45 minutes due to traffic.
They are off [...]
Pilot RV Park – Stanfield, OR
Chose Pilot RV Park as thought it would be easier to get to than those in Pendleton, OR. This is a great park for over-nighters. It’s right off I-84 and Hwy 395, and easy to find.
They have Cable, WiFi, and lots of pull-through’s. As it’s name implies, it’s also a truck stop with a McDonalds, [...]
Ely KOA – Ely, NV
Ely KOA is fine for an overnight stop. There is plenty of room to maneuver and facilities were adequate. Some with bigger rigs might have difficulty, so I would call if your over 40 foot.
The office staff was okay, not overly friendly but that may have just been her personality. I was impressed with [...]
Big Meadow Campground – South Fork, CO
Big Meadow Campground is located in the San Juan Mountains in south central Colorado, thirteen miles west of the town of South Fork. The elevation here is 9,300 feet.
The campground is situated in a heavily wooded area and all sites are shaded. There is privacy from adjacent sites. Fire rings are provided at each site. [...]
Canyon Trails RV Park – Boulder City, NV
Canyon Trails RV park is a nice, clean, landscaped, paved campground, with friendly and helpful staff.
We were there in mid November and I was glad that I had made reservations as it was full. Spaces are wide enough for us as we don’t have slides but suspect that might be a issue with others. [...]
