Campground Reviews for August, 2008
Countryside Resort - Lebanon, TN
Countryside Resort is a very nice campground in Lebanon, about 25 miles from Nashville. We stayed here this past summer in our new 38′ motorhome and loved it.
The park is easy to get to because it’s fairly close to the Interstate highway (I-40), but there are woods that block any views and noise. The campground […]
Mountain Road RV Park - Tucumcari, NM
Mountain Road RV Park is a nice little overnite campground. It’s convenient to Interstate 40 (Exit 333) and the town of Tucumcari. The campground is a little dusty (but everything is around here) but it’s clean, quiet and well maintained.
The park has about 50 sites, mostly pull-thrus, and they can accommodate larger rigs. The staff […]
Sands of Time Campground - Avon, NC
Sands of Time Campground was recommended to us by a friend. The park is located in old Avon Village away from all the hustle and bustle of Hwy. 12. The sites are large with full hook ups (50amp service) & free cable TV. It is very quiet and clean and the campers are all […]
Riverside State Park - Spokane, WA
If you arrive at Riverside State Park from the north, you will travel via Nine Mile Road. If you arrive from the south, you will travel via Government Way. Both routes are marked with enough signs to get you there. I used the Government Way route, and my initial reaction when entering the road to […]
Perdido Cove RV Resort & Marina - Pensacola, FL
This is a beautiful RV resort in Perdido Key Florida… a wonderful hidden get away. The park is clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and from making a reservation to checking-out was very smooth and easy. We really enjoyed our stay there.
There was so much to see and do in the […]
Bar Harbor RV Park and Marina - Abingdon, MD
We were a little disappointed when we arrived at Bar Harbor RV Park. The wi-fi did not work throughout the campground and apparently it hasn’t for a long time and the owners just don’t seem to care.
This campground must have been amazing 20 years ago, but time and lack of proper care has taken a […]
Yellowstone Park KOA - West Yellowstone, MT
Our stay at Yellowstone Park KOA should have been a great family vacation but it turned into a nightmare. We spent the previous nights at the KOA in Great Falls and had a fine experience but this place is run like a concentration camp.
We were told be quiet BEFORE quiet hours began at 10PM. We […]
Fort Custer Recreation Area - Augusta, MI
My adult son and I spent five July 2008, nights camping in a tent at Fort Custer State Recreation Area between Battle Creek and Augusta, Michigan.
We arrived about three days after rain, but the mosquitoes remained active. I am quite allergic to mosquito bites so each evening, I had to change to jeans and long […]
Riverbend RV Park - Twisp, WA
I had originally intended to go to Omak, but I passed Riverbend RV Park on the way and it was quite a find! Other parks in the area were booked full, so I was quite surprised that this park had a few spots open, to include spots right on the river! On a […]
Bear Mountain RV Park - Trail, OR
We had a great time on our recent vacation in Trail, Oregon. We planned our trip to hike, fish and just enjoy nature. After booking the trip we discovered it coincided with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland… about a 45 minute drive away, so we took in a play as well. That was a […]
