Campground Reviews for July, 2008
PJ’s Family Campground - Stockbridge, MI
Upon arriving at PJ’s Family Campground, we found the price was right and had made reservations for a week. Little did we know that the bathroom and shower facilites were a total mess.
Tremont Outdoor Resort - Townsend, TN
We just had a terrible camping experience in this campground. There were too many rules to remember and the management was not camper friendly. It was more like a Boot Camp.
Windrock Campground - Oliver Springs, TN
If you’re riding the Windrock trails, do not stay at Windrock Campground. (don’t be confused with Windrock Park) Stay at Indian Creek Campground (has a pool, nice owners, great view) or Windrock Park (new, gravel sites with BBQ pit, picnic tables, nice owners).
Alpine RV Park - Marblemount, WA
Alpine RV Park has full hookups, a laundry, and free wireless, yet cheaper than the State Parks! What more could you want? The wireless was a little slow, but at these prices ($20 per night), you can live with it! Also, you have clean air and are in a little valley surrounded […]
Southside RV Park - Dillon, MT
I had the very great pleasure to stay as guests of Tim and Janet Gore, owners of the Southside RV Park from July 2nd through July 5th, 2008.
Their park was immaculate, well laid out, with ample room to maneuver even the largest vehicles. There was well groomed grass at every site, with hard packed gravel […]
Tellico Plains KOA - Tellico, TN
Tellico Plains KOA campground has nice sized lots, but not a lot of shade. They had a lot of great activities for the children and were helpful when needed.
The showers were a little different as there were no men and women’s showers. There are 4-5 stalls with doors that lock. It just seemed odd being […]
Shoals Bend RV Park - Forsyth, MO
Shoals Bend is a great RV park! The resort has all concrete streets and pads and serves breakfast on weekends. Check in was a breeze. Shoals Bend is about 10 miles from downtown Branson and is a pretty drive.
The staff is great and the resort is spotless and well maintained. The bathrooms and showers are […]
Mount Rushmore/Hill City KOA - Hill City, SD
Of all the campgrounds my family and I have visited, Mount Rushmore/Hill City KOA is the best! They have horse stables, a restaurant, 2 pools, a waterslide, an ice cream store, and plenty of wilderness to explore. Mount Rushmore is close by too.
My kids had a magical time and beg me to go back even […]
Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort - Reedsport, OR
If you’re thinking about going here, I recommend that you don’t. The campground is not at all as nice as we were led to believe on their web site. The RV section is mainly made up of gravel, sand and dead grass. Sure there’s a lake but most can not see it unless you walk […]
Tall Pines Campground - Bainbridge, NY
My husband, myself, my 4year old son and my daughter and 3 dogs all camped July 4th weekend 2008 at Tall Pines! I have to say it was the best 4th of July I have ever had.
The campground has a lot to offer for everyone. The staff is wonderful and we were first time […]
