Campground Reviews for May, 2008
Baileyton RV Park - Baileyton, TN
We stopped here as an overnight as we were heading north for the summer. The bottom line here is, we should have kept driving up the road.
Diamond Caverns Resort - Park City, KY
Diamond Caverns Resort is a relatively small campground located about seven miles from world famous Mammoth Caves and Diamond Caverns. It’s close to I-65 (about a mile).
The park is clean and well maintained. Sites are level and comfortably large. There are some sites in moderate shade, but most are open and sunny. There are shower […]
Long Lake Park Campground - Lakeville, OH
Long Lake Park Campground is the best park we’ve stayed at so far. They have a 70acre natural spring fed lake and fishing for Bass, Bluegill, Crappie and Pike… and no license is required.
They have a swimming beach, a beautiful new pool, a game room with kiddie corner, and shower facilities. This place is big […]
Hinsdale Campground - Hinsdale, NH
We’ve been looking forward to visiting Hinsdale Campground at Thicket Hill Village ever since we found out about it at a Camping/RV show early last spring. They also have a great website, which we visited several times before finally making reservations for a long weekend.
Hinsdale Campground is located in the southwestern corner of New Hampshire, […]
East View RV Ranch - Georgetown, TX
I found a great RV park and resort to stay at! East View RV Ranch offers clean, quiet and secure country living in the Austin area of Central Texas.
The sites here are level and well maintained. They have very nice granite roads. There is strong, fast and secure wifi throughout park. Resort amenities I […]
Des Moines West KOA - Adel, IA
We stay at Des Moines West KOA each time we pass through Iowa. The young folks that own it have turned this campground into a beautiful, super clean, marvelously maintained RV park. 100% first class!!!!
You can’t believe the peaceful days and nights at this place! We’ve never found a park that we could just sit […]
Wenberg State Park - Stanwood, WA
This is a small state park. The web site indicates that it’s located 18 miles northwest of Everett, Washington but it’s actually closer to Stanwood. Although there is a check-in station, it’s only used in the summer. During “off-season,” you must self register.
The higher numbered spots, which are non-utility, are closed in the winter. The […]
Cedar Point Camper Village - Sandusky, OH
Cedar Point is the undisputed roller coaster capitol of the world and this theme park also has a great RV park right next door.
Sandusky is located in Northern Ohio, just off Ohio Route 2 on the shores of Lake Erie. Cedar Point is a sliver of land that juts out into Lake Erie and the […]
Kentucky Horse Park Campground - Lexington, KY
If you admire horses then you are going to absolutely LOVE the Kentucky Horse Park Campground located in Lexington. I just finished a two week horse show there with my eleven year old daughter, who is a show jumper, and it was delightful!
