Campground Reviews for April, 2008
Castle Rock Campground - Castle Rock, CO
Castle Rock is a nice, comfortable family-oriented campground with a very friendly staff. The property is in a convenient location just off I-25, exit 174. It can get a little noisy with the Interstate and railroad traffic close by, but its tolerable.
Crystal Hot Springs - Honeyville, UT
My family along with some friends stayed at Crystal Hot Springs campground for a weekend last summer.
The campground is divided into two sections (one with power and one without) and we stayed in the without power section. I would suggest this area for anyone going there, as the section with power was very small and […]
Longhorn Ranch RV Park - Crowell, TX
Longhorn Ranch is a nice little out of the way “middle of nowhere” park. There is no on-site store at this campground but there is a 24/7 convenience store in Crowell, only ten minutes up the road.
Outdoor Resorts - Virginia Beach, VA
We just returned from out third stay here and really enjoyed it! Outdoor Resorts is a beautifully maintained RV park located right on the bay… and absolutely gorgeous sunsets!
This resort doesn’t have all the hype associated with families and kids. There are no planned activities, no themed weekends, no special holiday events… this is just […]
Treasure Beach RV Park & Campground - Selbyville, DE
This is a great campground located on Fenwick Island (Selbyville) near Ocean City, Maryland. The park is big! … with over 1000 sites, many of which are located on the bay and waterfront, but only about 30 are available with full hookups.
There’s plenty of room for tenters, which is probably why the bathrooms are at […]
Suncoast RV Resort - Port Richey, FL
ThisĀ campground has narrow roads and too many trees! Some pull-thru sites are impossible to pull thru because of trees and electrical post combined with narrow roads.
Deposits are not applied to camping or electrical fees. The no cee-um bugsĀ are terrible. The sites are mud holes after it rains. The management has signs posted bragging how many […]
Yakama Nation Resort RV Park - Toppanish WA
I had heard different opinions about this campground, but I found it very nice. Check in was easy, price was a little steep but thats to be expected for full service to include WiFi, Cable, etc…etc.
The grass was green, and the price of propane was excellent for the area. Within walking distance of the campground […]
Fancy Gap KOA - Fancy Gap, Virginia
It was still early in the season when we arrived at Fancy Gap KOA so not all of the facilities were open. Not that anyone would want to go swimming in April as cold as it was.
We loved the layout of this park… each row of sites is higher up than the first row in […]
Carlsbad KOA - Carlsbad, NM
We just got back from spending a few days at Carlsbad KOA… What a great resort campground!
Calsbad KOA appears to be fairly new and the entire property and facilites are clean and well maintained. The park owners are very friendly and seem to have taken great effort to have a very attractive, well designed facility.
Neshonoc Lakeside Camping Resort - West Salem, WI
When visiting Wisconsin, we always try to camp at Neshonoc Lakeside Camping Resort. It’s beautifully located on 600 acre Lake Neshonoc.
Some of the 200+ camp sites are located near the lake, while others (our favorites) are situated on the bluff overlooking the lake and region. The staff has always been friendly and made us feel […]
