Campground Reviews for March, 2008
North Beach Campground - Burlington, VT
North Beach Campground is owned and operated by the City of Burlington, Vermont and located on the shores of Lake Champlain.
We stayed here for a week last summer. We chose North Beach Campground because of it’s location and the fact that the area has a rather extensive bicycle trail system that allowed us to ped […]
Petoskey RV & Cabin Resort - Petoskey, MI
This is an exceptional campground! Our friends recommended Petoskey RV Resort to us, but we were a little wary… everyone seems to have a different impression of what a good RV park is. Anyway, we were pleasently suprised when we arrived. The campground was absolutely beautiful!
There are paved streets throughout the campground with level, paved […]
Cactus RV Park, Tucumcari, NM
We found Cactus RV Park in Passport America. We were pleasantly surprised since it was rated a 3-Stars in Woodall’s. It’s certainly not the fanciest, but very clean and the campsite is pretty spacious.
I noticed that the other campers were all new, large units, so we felt we were among good company. New Mexico has […]
Holly Acres RV Park - Egg Harbor City, NJ
Holly Acres was a pleasant surprise once we arrived. The staff was very friendly and eager to answer our questions. The Campground was well maintained and spotlessly clean.
Our pull-thru site was comfortably large and level. There were a significant number of seasonal campers here but, for the most part their sites were neat and well […]
Charlestown State Park - Charlestown, IN
We have been camping at Charlestown State Park since 1998, when it opened. The hook-ups at the sites near the front of the park are electric only, but they are quite large compared to other campgrounds… you could easy put three campsites in one site here.
Because the campground is relatively new, landscaping and trees are […]
Mill Creek Campground & RV Park - Paxico, KS
Mill Creek Campground is a small (less than 50 sites) but very nice park with large, level sites and plenty of room. Big rigs are no problem… you can get around the park easily and they have good size pull-thrus.
Mill Creek very clean and well maintained. The campgound is within walking distance of Paxico, a […]
Natural Springs Resort - New Paris, OH
We love this park. For us, it’s the perfect location… just far enough from the highway to feel remote, but it’s only about 3 miles from Richmond, Indiana.
The park is just off I-70, exit 156 right on the Ohio/Indiana border. Richmond has plenty of restaurants and shopping.
Scenic Hills RV Park - Millersburg, OH
Scenic Hills is a nice RV park with large, level open gravel sites on a grassy hilltop. It was easy for us to get around, even with our larger rig.
The campground is clean and well maintained but does not have shower/restroom facilities. Each site has a fire ring (free firewood!) and a picnic table. […]
Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA - Enfield, NC
This KOA is located about 18 miles south of Roanoke Rapids and 16 miles north of Rocky Mount, about 1/2 west of I-95 exit 154.
The park is clean and well maintained with both shady and sunny sites and level pull throughs in a quiet country setting. This KOA is a great halfway stop on your […]
Lakeside Camping - Island Pond, VT
What a beautiful location! The campground is on small lake way up in northeastern Vermont, near the Canadian border. We stayed here for several days last August.
Lakeside Camping is very quiet, except for an occassional train. There are a good number of sites right along the lakeshore. The sites near the lake are mostly open […]
