Campground Reviews for February, 2008
Fidalgo Bay Resort – Anacortes, WA
I stayed at Fidalgo Bay Resort in May 2005. At the time, they didn’t charge deposits. However, the web site indicates they now require full payment at the time of booking. Not Good! The waterfront sites are decent, if you want to pay the price. On the other hand, "oceanfront" overlooks a smelly bog. Good [...]
Mesa Regal RV Resort – Mesa, AZ
I just spent two weeks at the Mesa Regal RV Resort. It was a wonderful experience. The people and the place were wonderful. The only thing I found disappointing is that there was not more concern for recycling. With all the plastic bottles that the people in Arizona use – have they not heard about the landfills?
Big Pine Campground – Custer, SD
Big Pine is a GREAT campground. We stayed there in July 2007. Every site is nestled in the pine trees, and the bathhouse was sparkling. When we did not have what we needed to level our trailer (we were relatively new to camping) the owners were very helpful, supplying us with what we needed. Also, when the little store did not have an item we needed, they were happy to suggest where to find it elsewhere in Custer.
Turquoise Trail Campground and RV Park – Cedar Crest, NM
We stayed at Turquoise Trail Campground in October, 2007. I was a little wary of staying here because they do not have a website, but we wanted to stay away from the crowds of Albuquerque. I was pleasantly surprised! We were escorted to our site upon arrival. The directions they gave me to the campground were great (it is a little off the beaten path).
The showers/bathrooms were somewhat older, but very clean and accessible. We loved being close to the mountain instead of on an asphalt parking lot.
