Campground Reviews for September, 2007
Sheridan/Big Horn Mountain KOA – Sheridan, WY
While this KOA campground was a convenient park to get to… it’s just off of the freeway, the smell from the dumpsite was the worst that I have ever smelled. It was so bad, you couldn’t open your windows to sleep. We were just there overnight and couldn’t wait to get out of the campground.
Thunder Bay Golf Club and Resort – Hillman, MI
This is a great stop for RV golf nuts! All rigs must be self contained but all sites have full hookups and WIFI. All sites are pull thru and you are a short walk to the club house and restaurant. Thunder Bay Golf Club and Resort makes a great home base to play other courses in the region. The resort also has horse drawn carriage rides to view elk and enjoy a home cooked meal featuring Michigan wines.
Pinehurst RV Resort – West End, NC
Horrible is the best description of my stay at this campground.
I was in the area for a dog show and when I made my reservations I told them I would have show dogs with me. I was only told there was a limit of 3 dogs and no other special instructions regarding pets. On arrival I was told the dogs couldn’t be unattended. I was then taken to a spot with no trees or shade. Bear in mind I am camping in a pop up. There was supposed to be a pet area but it was never shown to us and is not on the site map.
Bethpage Camp Resort – Urbanna, VA
My wife and I took 3 of the grandkids with us to Bethpage Camp Resort. This is a wonderful campground. They have lots of things to do for everybody. They have a nice lake with a beach, and 2 swimming pools. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is also just a few miles from the Chesapeake Bay.
Old Stage Campground – Dover, NH
We’ve camped at Old Stage Campground a number of times over the past several years and found the small family run campground enjoyable under the direction of Arnie and Pat Redfearn. Arnie was always available and willing to answer any questions. He would immediately provide a camper with assistance and treat everyone with respect [...]
