Campground Reviews for June, 2007
Las Vegas KOA @ Circus-Circus - Las Vegas, NV
This is a nice, modern campground at the back side of the Circus Circus casino on the north end of the Las Vegas strip. There is no shade here so be prepared. The sites are level asphalt. They have a golf cart shuttle around the park and to the casino as it can be a […]
Pueblo South/Colorado City KOA - Pueblo, CO
This is one of the nicest parks we’ve ever stayed at. The bathrooms are almost spotless. There is green grass and lots of trees and a beautiful view of the mountains to the west. We ride a motorcycle and there are numerous places to ride and enjoy the beautiful countryside. The owners and workers are […]
Everglades Holiday Park - Fort Lauderdale, FL
I recommend that you avoid Everglades Holiday RV Park. The campground is extremely remote at Griffin Road and Hwy 27. In my opinion, the people who manage this park for the Broward County Parks & Recreation Department are doing a poor job.
This is the most filthy rv park that I have ever seen. The landscaping […]
Southside RV Park - Dillon, MT
Southside RV Park is conveniently located off I-15 in Dillon, MT, This is a great place to stay. The campground is clean, with well-maintained grounds and large spaces (pull-thrus and back-ins) that can accommodate almost any size coach!
The environment here is really warm and cozy, with lots of lush grass, mature shade trees, and a stream that runs right through the middle of the park.
Juniper Ridge RV Resort - Show Low, AZ
I recommend that you pass this one by. Sunday 6/17/07 I submitted a reservation request online at their website. When I hadn’t gotten a confirming email by Tuesday I called them. The woman I talked to said she would check on it and call me back. When she hadn’t called me back in 2 hours I called her. She was "out to lunch" and would call me back. She called me back with a curt, "No one has made that reservation." After a bit more conversation with her I decided I didn’t need to put up with additional rudeness and would find another park. She then hung up on me.
Circle Pines KOA - Williams, AZ
Circle Pines KOA was a very nice park. They have large lot sizes, with shady spots and a big camp store. The weekends are very busy as the main KOA 2 exits west of here is being rebuilt from a fire. This KOA also will arrange tours to the canyon and/or have rental cars. This […]
Albuqurque KOA - Albuqurque, NM
Albuqurque KOA is a very nice park located right off I-40 at the east end of town. The campground has a great staff, nice, well-stocked campstore, and a large park. The only negative I can think of is that there are very few trees or shade here so it can get pretty warm here in the summer. If you mind the heat, be advised.
Cattail Creek RV Park - Skippers, VA
We stayed at Cattail Creek last fall on the way to Florida. It’s about 3 miles from I-95 exit 4 and just north of the VA/NC border. The sites are level, gravel with some have plenty of shade. The campground has about 60 sites, 20 or so of them are pull-thrus for bigger RVs.
The staff […]
Indian Point RV Park - Eddyville, KY
My family LOVED Indian Point RV Park. Being a family owned and operated park, the owners were understandably busy and could not personally escort us to our site, but they made every effort to help us with any questions. The campground was well maintained, the facilities were checked frequently, the amenities were just as described, […]
Shady Oaks RV Park - Plattsburg, NY
This was one of the worst reception we have ever received on arrival at an RV Park. The owner met us at the gated entry and when informed that we belonged to Passport America he became hostile. He told us that he had nothing but trouble from Passport America members and that he didn’t really […]
