Pahrump Station RV Park - Pahrump, NV
(rate this campground) Loading ...While Pahrump Station RV Park is well landscaped and each site has a bit of green grass and trees, (in the desert), we were very disappointed in this park and it has soured us on corporate campgrounds.
We called for reservations (Best Western) over a month ago and that was no problem. The advertisements said phone internet, free cable TV at every site, and large pull-ins. Well, our TV didn’t work and it turned out that none of them worked in the section they put us in. Also while the price wasn’t bad, the extras added up the cost. tax was extra, (I have never had added tax before), Phone internet was extra - okay it was only a dollar a day, but I find it to be annoying to use phone internet after WiFi. Electricity was also extra, and while only $2. a day, I just kept wondering when it would stop.

Sunrise Valley RV Park - Mina, NV
(rate this campground) Loading ...Mina, Nevada is a poor little town, bordering on being a ghost town, but the Sunrise Valley RV Park is an oasis of green. and a very pleasant surprise.
There are tons of great spaces for the longest of rigs. The bathroom is clean and neat and private, and WiFi for an extra $2.00. Now they say that there is TV but we were unable to find it and our antenna only picked up one blurry channel. But we have satellite so it really wasn’t a problem for us.
Pyramid Lake Marina RV Park - Sutcliffe, NV

Sully’s RV Park - Alturas, CA
(rate this campground) Loading ...Sully’s is a very functional RV park and since it is about the only one in town, it was nice to find, especially, in the April snow storm we encountered. Folks with the same idea we had, followed us in, and in no time, the place was full.
La Pine State Park - La Pine, OR

Madras KOA - Culver, OR
(1 visitors have rated this campground.) Loading ...The Madras KOA is about 10 miles south of Madras, Oregon on Hwy 97, and then a 1/2 mile east on Jerome. This is a typical KOA, the sites were large and spacious, a nice park like atmosphere, friendly folks and anxious to please. The only complaint I have and it isn’t much of one, their catalog said that Internet is free and we were charged $4.00 a day. They said it was new, so the rates might be also.
Deschutes River State Park - The Dalles, OR

Loading ...I’m going to start with what is wrong with Deschutes River State Park because you may not want to read any further… No showers, no sewer, not even a dump, and according to the host, the reason is not enough water to support either. So water and electricity is all your going to get. But the host also told us that the park is packed in summer so folks must not mind. Oh, two more little annoyances, ticks in the woods and if you don’t like the sound of train whistles in the middle of the night, you might want to reconsider staying here.
