Campground Reviews for February, 2007
American RV Park - Albuquerque, NM
We stayed at American RV Park from April of 2006, until February of 2007. We were in Albuquerqe to visit with family, but inquired about workcamping positions at the park. This was our 4th workcamping position, so we were experienced and felt the park was a nice place to both live and work.
The park is clean, friendly, and we were well treated. The restrooms are roomy, with lots of warm water, and are kept very clean. The weather was pretty rough for awhile, but the park worked hard at keeping the roads in the park open and everyone comfortable.
Black Bear Cove - Polk, Tennessee
Black Bear Cove is in Polk County, Tennessee… just minutes away from rafting on the Ocoee River and is located on the Hiwassee River which has great class 1 and 2 rapids and trophy trout fishing.
The sites are 50 to 70 ft. deep. The bathhouses are beautiful and are heated and cooled. There is a laundry, camp store, playground, volleyball, horseshoes, and a pavilion. The campground is a great place for walks and has tons of activities.
American RV Park - Albuquerque, NM
We had a very positive working experience at American RV Park. This was our first workamping experience. The campground is in a transitional stage so is not without problems but many of the "seasoned" workers said that Pamela & Garland were especially good managers. We felt that they were great to work with & for.
French Quarter RV Resort - New Orleans, LA
Sorry, but I say “Stay away from here.” French Quarter RV Resort looks OK, but this is definitely in a crime-ridden area. They have poor security and, in my opinion, the prices are far too high.Check out other campgrounds in better areas. The manager was not at all friendly or helpful when we were there.
