Campground Reviews for October, 2006
Williston Crossings RV Resort - Williston, FL
Williston Crossings is an excellent RV Resort with a wonderful Staff. We keep going back to see what has been completed. We have been workampers for about 12 years now and have been full time RV folks for 14 years and we have been to RV parks all over this beautiful country and Williston Crossings […]
Pine Acres RV Resort - Raymond, NH
Pine Acres RV Resort has totally gone downhill. There is no security, the bathrooms are not very well maintained and the staff was not very friendly. They nickle and dime you to death. If you have older children expect them to try and get you for a visitor rate for them to the tune of $12.00 per night. I would not recommend this campground to my friends.
Williston Crossings RV Resort - Williston, FL
We have been staying a this great RV Resort for the past few months. Williston Crossings RV resort is a brand new park opened only about one year and offers many things for the RV’er. The property is well maintained with beautiful landscaping throughout. The streets are well lit too. A new Clubhouse will be […]
Country Haven Campground - New Holland, PA
Joel and Roz Bieler started Country Haven Campground and had it for years so when Bob and Bonnie Patterson bought it two years ago I was worried it wouldn’t be as good.
Not to worry. Of all the many campgrounds we go to this is by far the best. We have been going so long that […]
Shadow Brook Campground - Cooperstown, NY
We had a great time at Shadow Brook Campground. Partly because it was the end of the season, and we were pretty much alone.
Shadow Brook is a unique property surrounding a nice pond. The gravel roads are in good shape. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry are clean and modern inside with a rustic look outside. Some sites are laid out in an unconventional way, but most are back-ins. Very few have three-way hook-up, but they have a dump station and a "Honey Wagon."
USI Campground - Wichita, KS
We’ve camped at USI Campground many times… it’s the most convenient park to east Wichita, K-96 and K135. The campground is known as the “gravel pit”, because it is a field of gravel with hookups. Prices have increased several times, with additions for more than 2 people.
The recreation room is often kept locked and is […]
Evergreen Motel and RV Park - Pratt, KS
This little campground is right on highway 54/400 in Pratt, Kansas.
The rate here was $23.00 for a Full Hook-up, 50 amp site with free cable, free WiFi, laundry and restrooms. The campground has a pool but it was too cold to use it. There is also a restaurant right there on the property with good home country cooking.
The owners here are lovely people willing to help with anything.
Cactus RV Park - Tucumcari, NM
Cactus RV Park is very nice. The campground is clean and well maintained. The manager/owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The park also offers free wifi at your site. The cable tv hookup has lots of channels and they even provide the cable if you don’t have one.
Gilgal Oasis RV Park - Sequim, WA
Gilgal Oasis RV Park appears to be a relatively new and small campground, right in the middle of Sequim. The park has paved pads, however, the pads are sloped so you need to use leveling techniques. Some sites are pull through, some back in. On the "back in" slots, you will be "backed up" against another RV, but there is a wood fence for separation.
Sequim Bay State Park - Sequim, WA
Sequim Bay is a small State Park near Sequim, WA and is open year round. Although there are 26 RV hookup sites, only 16 of them are currently used. Good thing… if all 26 were used, it would be cramped! The campground host had a monster RV, but the remaining sites can only accommodate 30 foot RV’s at the bare maximum. The good news is, this State Park actually has dump stations at each RV site! The bad news is, they only offer 30 amp service. Further, the sites, which are back-in, slope down to the back so I highly suggest using wheel chocks on the back wheels.
