Campground Reviews for September, 2006
Natalbany Creek Campground/RV Park - Amite, LA
Natalbany Creek Campground is located near Amite, La. on Hwy 16 just off I-55 and north of Hammond, Louisiana. This is one of our favorite places to stay. They have a very friendly staff. The park is kept clean as is the 3 bath/laundry houses (w/security cameras). The 135 sites are spaced far enough […]
Timberlake Campground - Brandon, MS
Timberlake is a beautiful campground with shaded, as well as sunny sites. The staff was friendly and helpful and the property was clean and well maintained. The waterfront sites here are the same price as the rest. You can see the Ross Barnett Reservoir from most areas in the campground and they have a nice […]
Rochester/Marion KOA - Rochester, MN
The Rochester/Marion KOA has everything you could want. It’s close to the Mayo clinic, close to all the good shopping stores and yet still in a quiet rural surrounding.
The owners were all too pleased to help with any problems we had with our trailer, and they make a fabulous pizza at a very reasonable price. […]
Holiday Trav L Park - Virginia Beach, VA
Our group of 4 adults and 2 children were in Virginia Beach so that 3 of the adults could participate in a half marathon being held there. Holiday Trav L Park provided what we thought was a reasonably priced alternative to the oceanfront hotels associated with the race. However, the price quickly went up with […]
Misty River Cabins & RV Resort - Walland, TN
We stayed at Misty River Cabins & RV Resort over this past Labor Day weekend and had a great time. The campground had just opened a few weeks before we stayed and the only bad thing was that the grass was thin in some spots so when it rains you have a few muddy spots, but not to bad.
What we really loved was the bath house! It had private bath rooms just like home. You go in and close the door behind you and its all yours. I have never seen bathrooms like this in any campground… you’ve got to see them.
Boyd’s Key West Campground - Key West, FL
The only thing Boyd’s Campground has going for it is that it’s the closest campground to Key West. The neighborhood heading into Boyds’ appears to be a dirty, drug infested area. The interior roads are unfinished gravel. Most of the camp sites were overgrown and the entire campground appeared not very well maintained.
