We have camped in our RV in the western US and Mexico for the last 5 years… from Denver to Seattle down the west coast to as far south as Colima in Mexico. Crystal River Resort is one of our favorite places to stay because it has such large RV sites and such a beautiful setting right next to the Crystal River with a beautiful view of Mt. Sopris.

Lone Oak is an RV Park with a surprisingly beautiful lake view. The folks here are friendly and the park is clean and well maintained. A new deli and bait shop also just opened next to the campground. The lake is within a few 100 feet and the fishing from the shore or the bridge was great! The wireless internet was nice and came in handy!

My husband and I have been taking our 3 children RVc amping for over 15 years. We have been to over 50 different campgrounds during that time and have never liked any as well as the Crystal River Resort in Carbondale, Colorado. We have continued to make this our favorite spot and have continued to return every summer. It’s the best campground when it comes to clean bathrooms which is of vital importance when our family picks a place. We love the pool, the sand volleyball, basketball, badmitten etc. and the owners have all the equipment for you to borrow.

Holiday Trav-L-Park is a large, (over 1000 sites!) modern, well maintained campground with a friendly staff. Sites are mostly level with some shady. Although a bit expensive, you’ve got to check out their “supersites”… they are roomy pull-through sites with paved entries and exits. These sites feature a 60×12 foot (minimum) concrete pad with extended […]

Barrington Shores is located about 3 miles off US Route 4, and about halfway between Concord and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
When we first arrived here, we were a bit disappointed… trash dumpsters, dirt piles and maintenance equipment greeted us at the entrance area. But once we got over that initial disappointment, Barrington Shores grew on us. […]

I was beside myself to discover the only National Forest in New York State. It shows on very few maps, and no RV guides. Finger Lakes National Forest is a small patch of National Forest that sits between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes, just south of the Seneca Army Depot.
We had a great time. Blueberry […]

We made reservations for Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA and arrived late at night. We went to the campground area that is also in a subdivision… found a site that looked okay and started to set up. Of course at night we all know how hard this can be without lighting. After getting into the site we found that the electric hookup did not work and the water was not available either. I said, ok lets get to another site.. 2nd one, same thing… This was starting to irritate me but thought it was funny too.

Pack the kids, this place is great! Located in Poland, NY near the Southern Adirondacks. Our last-minute reservation was accepted quickly, and check-in was fast and friendly. Then came the real reward, the campground is immaculate. Buildings and grounds are maintained to a very high standard with lots of entertaining extras.
The West Canada Creek Campsites […]

Massachusetts

Black Bear Campground - Salisbury, MA

Black Bear Campground is a “keep away”. There is nothing for kids to do. No activities at all. The pool doesn’t open until 1pm. The campsites are OK and the bath house is clean but the lack of any activities hurts this campground. It’s an OK stopover but if you’re looking for a campground offering […]

North Carolina

Cape Woods Campground - Buxton, NC

Cape Woods Campground is run down and poorly managed. Don’t camp here unless you like to have your camper/tent filled with ants and the stench of poorly maintained sewers. Also, they claim that the beach is within a mile of the campground, but it’s actually closer to two miles away and you must follow busy Rt 12 to get there.
