Campground Reviews for June, 2006
Whippoorwill Lake Campground – Marble Hill, MO
Whippoorwill Lake Campground was a nice, clean place to stay. It is a privately owned facility that have very nice owners. The 12 acre lake was nice to swim in. They also have a big beach area, with a hard maple on one end to sit under if you’re trying to dodge the sun while watching the kids swim. You can also fish in the lake.
Rustic cabins, tent sites, and RV sites are available at this campground. The RV sites are spacious but are a little uneven in spots.
Woodlawn Campground – Delmar, MD
For North and South travelers through Maryland and Delaware along Route 13, here’s a nice place to rest and relax. Woodlawn is a small family owned park with lots of advantages. What can you say… this is Disney! It’s the campground from which all others are compared. It’s easy to see why Fort Wilderness is consistently voted the best campground in America. Everything is first class here. Right down to the trash cans (each site has one and they’re recessed underground so only the tops can [...]
Coles Creek State Park – Waddington, NY
This place is a destination. The park is situated along the St Lawrence River. The Park Staff does a great job with buildings and grounds maintenance. There is nice playground and swimming area, plus a camp store and Ice Cream Shop.Almost every site has a view of the water with several prime water front sites. [...]
Chattanooga South KOA – Chattanooga, TN
Although this campground looks nice when entering, the management at this facility ruin the pleasure of staying in Chattanooga. The managers/owners do not show respect for their campers, when presented with any sort of a conflict, they do not show any interest in finding a resolution, but only put their own initiatives and desires above [...]
