We did not care for this Keisler’s Campground at all. Saying it is busy here is an understatement. The campsites were RIGHT on top of each other. There were unsupervised kids everywhere. We have 2 small kids and they did not even enjoy the stay there because it was such a zoo. The beach they advertise having is across the highway and not a beach, but a boatlanding. The garbage cans in the bathrooms were always overflowing.

Michigan

Oak Shores Campground - Decatur, MI

Oak Shores Campground has a lot of permanent campers. It also has a lot of rules! Not recommended for campers with kids (ages 0-17). It seem there is a rule for everything children do while camping. No scooters, no rollerblades… you name it. You can have a PEDDLE bike. NO TOYS ALLOWED IN POOL. This […]

Indian Point RV Park is not a place I would recommend to visit. It is mainly full timers that do not seem too happy to have visitors. It is fairly noisy at night, even after midnight and is located just a couple of miles from the state prison. The cable hook-up did not work […]

Tom Sawyer RV Park is located on the Mississippi River in West Memphis. This is a great place to visit. The staff is very helpful and the park is VERY clean. You do not have cable hook-up but you do not need it because of the view. Just take bug repellent for after sunset - […]

Crown Point Camping Area is located just south of Ludlow Vermont. It’s an older campground that has seen better days. A first look on their website looked good… a level pine plantation setting, full hookups, cable tv, mini-golf, playground, and more so we decided to check them out…

Merry Knoll Campground - Clayton, NY

Merry Knoll Campground in located in Clayton NY (Thousand Islands region). The property is on sloping land running down to the St. Lawrence River. Waterfront sites are occupied by seasonals, but most of the transient sites have a river view, although 5th-wheelers and large rigs may block some views.
Camp sites are fairly small, and open […]

Whippoorwill Lake Campground was a nice, clean place to stay. It is a privately owned facility that have very nice owners. The 12 acre lake was nice to swim in. They also have a big beach area, with a hard maple on one end to sit under if you’re trying to dodge the sun while watching the kids swim. You can also fish in the lake.

Rustic cabins, tent sites, and RV sites are available at this campground. The RV sites are spacious but are a little uneven in spots.

We rented a site "unseen" at Crowley’s Ridge State Park. For reservations, you pay one night - non refundable! When we got there, the fire ring and picnic table were on the opposite side of the RV door. Also, the electric hookup was on one side of the pad with the water hookup on the other side. Regardless, water hose had to run up under the camper and through the sitting area under the canopy. Very Backwards!

I live in Western North Carolina and often refer visitors to Davidson River campground. However, after camping there myself this past weekend, I will not be referring anyone there again.
The campsites are clean, well-kept, and in a great location, but the staff/hosts were extremely unfriendly, rude, and even hostile at times, from the time we […]

Getaway Mountian is a small campground located in central Vermont near the Connecticut River in Ascutney. It’s convenient to I-91, several ski areas and lots of Vermont/New Hampshire scenery.
This is an extremely small campground. A lower section, along the edge of a field can accommodate larger RVs, but there are only a few sites with […]
