Campground Reviews for March, 2006
Seattle/Tacoma KOA – Kent, WA
The Seattle/Tacoma KOA is down near the Boeing complex. Camp sites are paved, but not necessarily level. The property has nice trees, my cat was entertained. Sites are kind of close together, I don’t know if this is typical for a KOA. This campground is not bad for a couple nights passing through. On the other hand, you have to choose between free cable or free wireless. Apparently, you can’t have both. Wireless is great!
Fountain of Youth Spa – Niland, CA
Fountain of Youth Spa RV Resort is located of Highway 86 on the Salton Sea just before Niland, California. They have excellent facilities, full hook-ups, or boondocking. There is also a vehicle wash bay available. The resort has two pools, four mineral hot pools, a restaurant, campstore, Wifi and internet hookups, launderette, library, game rooms, excercise room and mail room.
Big Oaks Family Campground – Rehoboth Beach, DE
This letter is in regards to the gentleman that sent the angry note about his stay at Big Oaks Family Campground. Dr. Joe Cullen stayed at our campground last August. He had been here for half of his stay, and had not complained to anyone in the office on any level. We have 4 different bathroom facilitied spaced throughout the grounds. We added the small bathroom facility next to the cabin area so that the persons using the cabins would have a bathroom close by if they were to need it during the night. We take our children camping a few times each year, and try to stay at different campgrounds each time. We always use camping cabins, and have never had bathroom facilities right next to us. We always have to walk a distance to the facilities. It is camping, and we expect it. Our cabins are all 2 rooms, clean and well kept.
