Campground Reviews for January, 2006
River Plantation RV Park - Sevierville, TN
We stayed at River Plantation RV Park twice during the summer 2005. We have a 33 ft. 5th wheel with 2 slides and had both grandkids with us for the summer. This park is easy to find, wide paved & lit entrance and easy check in. Directions to park are good. All the sites are gravel. Sites are good size, and located around 3 or 4 shower/laundry area’s. Sites with trees are good… were able to get the awning out without problems. Hook ups were clustered together also. The back sections of the park is where the newer rv site additions are. It was a long walk up to the pool area from the back sites though.
Silver City RV Resort - Minden, NV
Silver City RV Resort is clean and the sites are easy to pull through. The store and clubhouse are also very nice. The problem is with the lack of management and customer service. The staff never knows what is going on and the guests are responsible for problems with the park. It flooded badly on December 31st and we found out it is common when it rains too much. An over night stay is okay, but wouldn’t stay longer.
Naples Campground - Naples, ME
We stayed at Naples Campground for the first time last summer and can’t wait to go back. It is a small campground but very clean and close to everything. The folks who own and the ones that work there made us feel like we were part of the family. You are within 45 minutes to Conway, New Hampshire or Portland, Maine. It’s seconds to Sebago Lake and there is a pond behind the campground called Trickey Pond.
Adventure Bound Deer Run - Schaghticoke, NY
Ocean Waves Campground - Waves, NC
This is a wonderful, relatively small, reasonable priced campground located on Hatteras Island. All RV sites include a large paved pad with full hookups. Most are back-ins but can accomodate big rigs. Every site is within a short walk of the ocean. Some sites are shaded, others are open. There is a pool and store. There are few activities scheduled.
