Everette Park is a hidden jewel just off I-90 at the Sherburn, Minnesota exit. Take the service road east about 4 miles and left to Fox Lake and follow the camping signs. This county park is right on Fox Lake. They only have electric hookups but they do have a dump station and rather rustic […]

TierraVerde might be spelled wrong but it is really just south of St. Petersburg and directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Actually I shouldn’t be recommending this park as we are locals and have a hard time getting sites here. It is georgous with private type sites (foliage) some right on the water and others […]

Dunedin Campground is a highly rated facility… with some permanent in the back of the park. It’s located right on Alt. Route #19 just north of Curlew Road. The campground has an excellent clubhouse, pool and other amenities. There is WiFi at some sites… the front sites are on concrete level slabs with concrete patios, water, sewer and electricity. Rates range from $30 to $50 depending on the season. The facility is about one mile from the beach and fishing off the causeway or Honeymoon Island. Shopping is very convenient as are restaurants.

Lebanon Hills is a full service county park located just south of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and actually across the road from the Minnesota Zoo. This is an excellent camping facility. Nice sites for all size rigs and also a tent area. The campground is convenient to the Mall of America, the Minneapolis Zoo, a baseball […]

We have not stayed at Bay Bayou but visited it to take a tour of the place last week. This is a very nice, almost up-scale campground. Big rig friendly as well as small. The park is security gated and just off Hillsborough Avenue, about 1 mile from Race Track Road. They have a beautiful club house with an adjoining huge pool (all new). The club house has computers and computer hook-ups. There is WiFi in the park as well as phone hook-up for long stayers. The resort is close to shops of all types including Wally World.

Checkers Welcome is a nice campground either for overnight (right off I-90) or extended stay. The campground owners are very cordial… the campsites are roomy with electricity, water and sewer. Nearby is the nice little town of Welcome, MN. The town has a cafe, hardware store and taverns. The campground has limited supplies in […]

I saw the last negative comment about Salter Path Campground and I had to comment. We have camped there for about five years. We had our name on a permanent site list and finally got it the first of the year. We were told when we got the spot our new 5th wheel couldnt fit in there because there was a tree limb and they wanted to protect the tree and it couldnt be cut. So off we go and buy a brand new camper to fit in there. Surprise they told us in August that they had sold out and everything needed to be out by November. That left us with two campers.

My wife and I have stayed three winters 2002-2005 at Boulder Lakes RV Resort. The spaces are big and there is a lot more shade. But before you come down Boulder Highway you should research available RV spaces due to increasing Las Vegas Valley development. There are a lot of RV parks getting gobbled up by […]

We have stayed at Voyager RV Resort, and I do mean RESORT, 4 times in 2 years. It was started and owned by a RV’er and it ’s a great campground. We are from Florida and first time RV’ers and we had never seen parks like this! They have 3 pools, one indoors, 2 hot […]

We visited The Great Outdoors to rent a space for the winter and found that the entrance to the park was approximately a mile long, single narrow, no place to turn around and during hurricane season was flooded. The area is in the middle of a swamp… and the bugs, a LOT of bugs.
The sites […]
