Last weekend we planned to stay the entire weekend at the Good Sam park at Hillsboro, ND. On Friday night my grandchildren were playing wiffle ball with Fred, the husband of the camp host. On Saturday morning, once again Fred came over to play with the children. My daughter, husband, and I were in our camper having a cup of coffee when we heard a loud screeching voice hollering "Get out of there. You kids get out of that house. I said, get out of that house." We looked out to see the camp hostess stomping across the campground from the office.

We are campers and enjoy the outdoors, and have never had a problem in the past…

This campground was the worst experience ever. I think the owner isn’t happy running the campground anymore. He walked up and down the campsite all night to multiple families complaining. We have kids they were still up it was only 8:00pm. The policy stated quiet time at 10:00pm which we always oblige by. We were just laughing having fun, listening to some music roasting marshmallows, eating chips etc.

We were looking for something relatively close to home for just a night or two so we decided to give Cold Springs Camp Resort a try… and what a pleasant suprise!

Normandy Farms is a classy resort. The place is beautiful, clean, and full of all day activities. The Lodge is spectacular and has a special section for just adults with a gas fireplace, couches, books games, and a pool table. I would recommend this campground to all.
Normandy Farms is pricey but its worth it… a […]

Whispering Pines is a nice spot, but not well kept. The sites are small, and the grounds are not very well maintained. Watch out for the security woman wearing a gold badge.
Whispering Pines had enough to do and was a relaxing place to stay. We camp alot throughout the year and I would say this […]

We’ve been waiting to give Minuteman Campground a try all summer. Our weekly last minute calls always found no availability… but persistance finally paid off and we reserved a full hook-up pull-thru site for an August weekend.

Minuteman Campground is conveniently located on MA Route 2A, about 3 miles west of I-495 (exit 30) in Littleton, Massachusetts. The campground entrance is easy to spot. The bright green sign at the entrance (just past the Citgo station) welcomes you up a short drive to the campground office. Check-in was quick and the staff was friendly and accommodating. They also guide you right to your site.

This is a great campground to stop at when you’re headed to Yellowstone. The park is clean, quiet and well maintained. The sites are a little on the small side but not bad for an overnight stop.
The entire campground is grass with a few trees here and there. Sites and interior roads are gravel. The […]

This park is FANTASTIC!!! This is the first tent camping experience I’ve had in Florida and I took a group of 18 other first time campers (ages 7-35). Everyone had a wonderful time. The Rainbow River was very refreshing and the 4 hour tube ride was VERY LONG but fun! If you choose to go, keep in mind that it may rain while your on the river.

If you choose to do something else, there is plenty to choose from. A Rainbow Spring beach area, fishing dock, heated outdoor pool, a rec room with puzzles, books, ping pong, fooz ball, and TV, a very reasonably priced gift and "oops I forgot" shop, and a GREAT staff. You can’t chop down wood there but you can buy a bundle of wood for about $7.00, or just bring your own.

We went camping at Crown Point August 13 & 14 and stayed across from the playground. This kept the kids busy and they had a great time. Large, clean sites for weekend sites, and some great fishing! It was catch and release but we didn’t need a licence. Our kids had fun. We’re planning on going back to Crown Point in September.
