Campground Reviews for May, 2005
Fredericksburg KOA - Fredericksburg, VA
The Fredericksburg KOA is a small, quiet, rural little campground located about 8 miles from I-95, exit 126. We stayed here last fall on our way down to Florida. The campground is mostly wooded and has both open and shady sites. Our site was large and level but walking around I could see that […]
Lake Hartwell Camping & Cabins - Townville, SC
What a great place to spend some quality time with family and friends. Lake Hartwell Camping & Cabins is privately owned and sets on beautiful Lake Hartwell. I recently spent a week at the park. I don’t have an RV, but it didn’t matter because they had a great cabin for me to stay in.
They […]
Dakota Ridge RV Park - Golden, CO
We stayed overnite in this very well maintained, RV park. Dakota Ridge RV Park is just outside of Golden, Colorado. The facility is pretty new. Not at all run down. They have a Dakota Ridge formation that the facility is built within. Part of the park backs up to the Dakota Ridge and […]
Brown Mountain Beach Resort & Camping - Lenoir, NC
My family and I camped in our popup for a spring weekend getaway at Brown Mountain Beach Campground. Overall we were not happy with this campground although the views were fantastic. We had a wonderful riverfront view, but our lot was very sandy.
The bathrooms were also about a 5 minute walk from our site and were dirty. As far as I could tell, they were not cleaned all weekend. In addition, the only showers were pay showers. I decided to go ahead and pay for them, took off my clothes to get in and the darn things didn’t work. NOT ONE!

Lake George Escape Evergreen Resort - Lake George, NY
We had one of the most enjoyable camping weekends in a long time at Lake George Escape. The staff was friendly and courteous. The grounds and facilities were clean and well maintained. Our site had full hookups and was comfortably large.
They have a very nice restaurant “Cafe Alfresco” centrally located in the middle of the […]
Papoose Pond Resort & Campground - Waterford, ME
>Our family has camped at Papoose Pond Resort every summer for the past 5 years. We have reservations for this June and we can’t wait to get there!
The park has 180 campsites ranging from wooded tent sites to full hookup sites for big RVs. You can camp on a beachfront site, a site with a dining shelter, even a site complete with a kitchen and bath! We have a small Class C motorhome and there are plenty of site options for us.
Country Campin\’ RV & Tent Park - Thermopolis, WY
Last summer we had the opportunity to stay at one of the most relaxing RV Parks in Wyoming. Country Campin’ RV and Tent Park is quiet, green and very clean. We had a wonderful time watching birds and taking walks to the river.
The campground has lots of room for pull-thrus and our kids were able to stay in a tent by the creek. The hot spriings were only a few minutes away and we had a great time!
