Campground Reviews for February, 2005
Camp A Way - Lincoln, NE
We stayed at Camp A Way over a long weekend last fall. It’s a nice little campground, conveniently located just off Interstate 80, exit 401. Even though we were near the highway there wasn’t much, if any noise.
The campground staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The property and facilities were […]
Rose Valley RV Ranch - Silver City, NM
We discovered Rose Valley on the Internet. Their website looked like it was just what we were looking for so we decided to spend a few days there. The campground is located in southwest New Mexico in the town of Silver City. The property is relatively new and it looks like the owners spent quite a bit of time and effort in making it a cut above the rest.
Lazy Acres Campground - Fayetteville, NC
When you want to be off the beaten track, Lazy Acres Campground is your place. The easy access from I-95 makes this campground campground a perfect rest stop for a night, or stay a while and take a break from the highway.
Every site here is level and shaded, some with concrete slabs. The showers and […]
Megunticook Campground By the Sea - Rockport, ME
When you want quiet relaxation on the Maine Coast, this place rates a "10". Megunticook Campground is complete with tent sites, back-ins, pull-throughs, and cottages. Every site is well shaded and some are quite private. None of the sites are directly on the water, but the large deck with pavillion, benches, and BBQ’s overlook scenic Peneobscot Bay. Easy access from Route 1 allows for day trips to nearby Rockland and Rockport, and a State Ferry terminal is nearby for exploring the islands.
Cummins Ferry Campground & Marina - Harrodsburg, KY
Cummins Ferry Campground is one of Kentucky’s newest campgrounds, located about 45 minutes south of Lexington on the Kentucky River Palisades. This past fall our family stayed there for several days. Being a newer campground, the facilities are in excellent condition. The roads and RV sites are paved and level. They have a very nice marina and some pretty good fishing!
Lazy J RV Park & Kampground - Rapid City, SD
Lazy J is a nice park built on a hill with 100 mile panoramic views of Rapid City and the surrounding area! We stayed here during Labor Day vacation last fall and had a great time.
Bayou Wilderness RV Resort - Lafayette, LA
We had the opportunity to stay at Bayou Wilderness RV Resort this past fall. The park is located in Lafayette, about 3 miles from I-49, exit 2… “right in the middle of Cajun Country.” They are big-rig friendly with 120 long, level, gravel pull-throughs, all with full hook-up (30/50 amp) including cable TV. The sites […]
Las Vegas International RV Resort - Las Vegas, NV
Editors Note: This park has closed.
Wow! What a great RV Park. We had the pleasure of staying here for a few days last month and had the best time! The campground is fairly new, very clean, well maintained and nicely landscaped. Everyone on the staff was friendly and accommodating.
The park is awat from the strip […]
